Okay, so I’m slightly changed in the “arranging area”.
I’m starting with this freestanding bookshelf, which was formerly a door in our old house.
I’ve moved it into our bedroom, ’cause I’m fiddling with Jonas’s room, and it’s just not necessary in there.

you might recognize it from here…
or here…
I’m practicing my arranging skills for the man cave challenge.
Here’s what I’ve come up with so far.
I’ve covered some old books in kraft paper.
And, it’s workin’ for me. I think I’m on to something.
I could use this trick everywhere.
just look at that punk!
The edges of this book are just perf., right?
Had to add a little Alaska in some where.
The texture of the basket finishes the whole sha-bang off nicely.
It holds nothing.
I’m happy with how it all turned out.
The bookcase has no real purpose, and I’m sure they’ll be a sweatshirt hanging from it in no time.
For now, I’m enjoying the moment.

I heart you, Denise – we have an old door, and now I have ideas…
😀
Good luck keeping it sweatshirt-free!
I just adore the old door book shelve and I love your treasures! My hubby would put his coat/shirt on it as well! 🙂
That is a seriously cool book shelf! Do you think there's any way the sweatshirt will be neatly folded and placed in the basket? 😀
A visit to your {painted home} is always a treat and inspirational!
I love this bookshelf idea! I'll keep this in mind when I come across a door while thrifting!
I have been trying to think of something creative to do with an old door from the cottage we just renovated. It has 8 panes of glass and would look awesome made into a bookshelf like yours. Thanks for such a creative idea – I can't wait to get started!
I love them! They look awesome! Don't you love a basket that holds nothing!! I have those!! I even have a dresser that holds nothing!! And a night stand? I have no clue what to put IN my night stand?????
