I like instant gratification. So,when I realized I had no centerpiece for my holiday table I had to come up with something quick.
I didn’t want to go shopping. I just wanted something clever, with a little height to it.
A few months ago I took some gallon wine jugs and wrapped them in rope.
Although the bottles are large, the clear glass gives an open effect in the center of the table.
I knew I had white spray paint in the garage. I gathered some branches from the yard. (Thank God I haven’t cleaned up the fall leaves and twigs yet!)
I sprayed all the branches white and added them to the jugs.
I kept the color palette simple and added only white and gray ornaments to the twigs.
In the center of the table I used a vintage ironstone platter I had found at an auction and filled it with battery operated candles.
So cute, right? I’ll keep these bottles on the table for a few weeks.
Maybe I’ll add a little color for Christmas, but for now I’m living the simplicity of this table.
