I added tassel fringe to my chandelier
I love a tassel, and, I like to think of myself as a
professional embellisher.
So, when I saw the fringe tassel chandeliers and light fixtures that have been popping up in home decor lately, I knew I had to add it to my home somehow. I handmade dozens of yarn tassels and attached them to the bottom rung of my dining room light fixture.
My house is no stranger to tassels.
A few years ago I added them all over the place, including the edges of blankets. See the how to make a tassel video HERE.
I’m not going to lie. This project is not a quick one. But, luckily, due to the quarantine, we all had some time on our hands.
I worked on the tassels at night while I was watching Ozark. The process of making the tassels, and almost any craft for me, is very therapeutic.
Little by little the fringe filled in the bottom of my chandelier. After a few nights, my chandelier was full and complete!
I love it. It took 2.5 rolls of yarn and a little patience.
Try using tissue paper and other materials to make tassels. See how to make tissue paper tassels HERE and more yarn tassels HERE .
Next project…POM POMS!
